Simmons Wins Award for SL Dominance Friday, October 25th, 2024 The manager of the Oakland Oaks said he always had confidence handing the ball to Mark Simmons out of the bullpen. The 29-year-old was a dominant performer all year for Oakland and his efforts have been rewarded with the Silver League Reliever of the Year Award for 2024. The bullpen ace had an impressive 1.20 ERA this season, with 23 saves in 48 relief appearances. He fanned 52 batters in 45 innings and sported a record of 3 wins and no losses. Rafael García of the Detroit Renaissance finished second in voting, while Domingo Álvarez of the Grafton Middies finished third. |
