Tapia and Díaz Pitch in at Local Homeless Shelter Sunday, October 1st, 2023 It is always good to see local athletes use their popularity and status for the good of the community. Today, Juan Tapia and Javier Díaz pitched in at local homeless shelter, serving meals for hundreds of underprivileged citizens of Hartford. "It's the least we can do", added Tapia. "I don't do it because I'm a member of the Whalers, I do it because I care about the community. There's plenty of women and young children among these people, and giving them a hot meal uplifts me as well. Seeing the looks of appreciation on their faces makes it all worth it." |
