Hits Galore: Brown Drills 5 Hits Friday, September 1st, 2023 It was high-5 day at Panda Park, at least for Kelly Brown of the Detroit Renaissance. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Montana Pandas. Brown smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 11-5 win. His manager said, "Kelly was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Kelly Brown hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Aki Tanaka in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Brown is batting .259 with 30 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 13 times and has batted in 13 runs. |
