Wadley Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, September 17th, 2023 The Oakland Oaks stopped the Phoenix Hotspur today 10-2 and Mal Wadley was able to hit safely again. The Oakland left fielder got 1 hit and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. Wadley was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Oaks fans!" Mal Wadley struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In his 2023 season totals, Wadley has 21 home runs, .282 BA, .339 OBP, 70 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |
