Meadows Tosses Shutout Thursday, July 27th, 2023 Before the game Lou Meadows liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Northern Lions BC pitcher whitewashed the Toledo Titans 3-0. Meadows said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count." The Thunder Bay starter held Toledo scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 3 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Titans manager said in his postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose." This season Meadows has compiled a 4-5 mark, 3.65 ERA and made 13 starts. |
