Green on Fire: 5-for-6 for Port Royal Friday, May 27th, 2022 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Coyote Wildlife Refuge when Mike Green of Port Royal scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Hamilton Coyotes. He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Disaster get by the Coyotes 14-6. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the shortstop of the Disaster said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-for-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Mike Green singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Green is currently hitting at a .341 pace with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs. |
