BC Chill Sánchez's Hot Streak Monday, August 22nd, 2022 Ernesto Sánchez, left fielder for the Pawnee ParksNRec, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Houston BC. Not only had they stopped his 24-game hitting streak, they had beaten Pawnee 5-0, too. Speaking with the media after the game, Sánchez said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." For the season Sánchez is batting .357 with 94 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 32 times and batted in 41. |
