Hartling Named SL's #1 Hurler Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 The Northern Virginia clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Lou Hartling will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2022 Silver League Outstanding Pitcher Award. Hartling made 24 starts this year, winning 13 and losing 8. He threw 174.2 innings, fanned 136, allowed 129 hits and 31 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .205 average as he logged an impressive 2.22 ERA. Pedro Alejándrez of the Panama City Piranhas finished second in voting, while Javier Mora of the Northern Virginia Retrievers finished third. |
