High on the Hit Parade, González Voted #1 Rookie Thursday, September 1st, 2022 This month Juan González bashed, belted and battered just about every Silver League pitcher in his path as he put up some substantial numbers to win the Rookie of the Week honors. Day in and day out throughout August, the Detroit left fielder punished opposing teams with base hits, finishing with a .287 average. González went 23-for-80 in 21 games with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 10 runs scored. So far this season, González has recorded a .249 batting average with 83 hits, 18 home runs, 48 RBIs, 54 runs scored and a .363 OBP. |
