López Bags SL Best Player Award Monday, August 22nd, 2022 So far in his young career, Félix López has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Silver League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old New Amsterdam Republics catcher hit at a torrid .478 clip as he collected 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. For the year López is batting .299 with 64 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 37 times and driven in 44. |
