Piranhas Alejándrez Blanks Capital District Monday, August 15th, 2022 In an impressive mound performance, Pedro Alejándrez of the Panama City Piranhas checked the Capital District Red Knights on a 2-hitter and held them scoreless. "He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said the Capital District manager. "Alejándrez kept us confused the whole game." The Panama City hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and issued 4 walks in his 2-0 shutout victory. On the season Alejándrez has compiled a 11-1 mark with a 2.17 ERA in 16 starts. In pitching 116.1 innings he has 134 strikeouts and 40 walks while limiting the opposition to a .170 batting average. |
