New Amsterdam Blanks Red Knights, Coker Wins Monday, August 8th, 2022 In a knockout performance, Andy Coker beat the Red Knights 10-0 with an impressive 5-hit shutout. The Republics hurler finished with 10 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. Coker told reporters after the game, "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working... it don't get any better than this." The Red Knights manager said, "It was a rough one for my guys. We weren't at our best... and their guy was." Coker has made 14 starts this season, posting 5 wins and 3 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .261 against him and he has 88 strikeouts in 95.2 innings with a 3.20 ERA. |
