Martínez to Miss 12 Months Sunday, July 11th, 2021 Júlio Martínez will have to wait a while longer. The Oakland starting pitcher was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 12 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The injury has kept him off the field since 07/10/2021. Though Martínez had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." This season Martínez has gone 5-1 with an ERA of 1.49, posting 31 strikeouts in 54.1 innings. |
