Tomlinson Holds D.C. Scoreless Thursday, October 7th, 2021 In an almost effortless performance, Dave Tomlinson of the Piranhas shot down the Divided 8-0 on a 2-hit shutout. His skipper said, "Dave was just locating so well and using his pitches... not leaving anything over the plate." Tomlinson recorded 9 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, the D.C. manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him." Tomlinson has made 22 starts so far this year and put up a 7-8 won-lost record with a 4.82 ERA. In 151.1 innings he has allowed 155 hits, walked 43 and struck out 121. |
