Pérez Suffers Mild Electrocution, May Miss Game
Tuesday, September 28th, 2021
Whalers starting pitcher Guillermo Pérez had a close call at home yesterday. "I was replacing an electrical outlet cover plate and got a really bad shock," explained Pérez. "A few minutes later, my right hand felt numb and I noticed some redness, so I decided to go to the ER and have it checked out." Pérez was found to have a very mild electrical burn, but will likely sit out the next game if any numbness or soreness persists. Even though he was assured the hand was okay, Pérez said he wasn't taking any chances in the future. "Next time, I'm calling an electrician!"
