Week's Premier Player: Thunder Bay's Durán Monday, August 23rd, 2021 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Third League, but last week Juan Durán of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Durán rocked opposing pitching for a .450 average (9-for-20), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. In 50 games this season Durán has batted at a .270 pace with 47 hits and 6 home runs. |
