Perry Goes Yard 3 Times Saturday, August 7th, 2021 If you were sitting in the bleachers and brought your glove to the Piranhas-Express game, there was a good chance you'd catch one of the three home runs hit by Brad Perry. The Piranhas first baseman repeatedly sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir and led Panama City to a 17-2 win over Wizarding. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub ... not thinkin' about home runs. I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames. When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em," he philosophized in the postgame press conference. Perry was 3 for 5 on the day with 6 RBI. Brad Perry struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Joe Benítez in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Gustavo Domínguez in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Alexander Allen in the 7th. This season Perry has hit 14 home runs and posted a .239 batting average. |
