Star of the Week Honored in 3L Monday, August 27th, 2018 18-year-old Albert Morán sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Morán made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 9 hits in 18 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 runs batted in. Where the SC Storm left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Morán certainly made his mark last week. In his stats this season, Morán has posted a batting average of .337 with 83 hits in 246 at-bats, 7 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has also scored 44 runs, walked 23 times and compiled a .396 OBP. |
