Kingston Township Blanked by Horton
Tuesday, August 14th, 2018
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Kingston Township manager after his club suffered a 5-0 shutout at the hands of Pat Horton of the Jacksonville Sharks. He held the Kingston Township Legion 9 scoreless in a 4-hit whitewash.
Horton was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.
In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Pat did a whale of a pitching job."
This season to date Horton has a record of 9 wins and 5 losses with a 3.33 ERA, has appeared in 17 games and struck out 109 in 121.2 innings.
