Premier League Names Rookie of Month Saturday, September 1st, 2018 Youngster Alan Elder emerged as the latest Premier League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Detroit deserved the honor, batting .345 with 2 home runs and 8 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Elder enjoy the limelight. This year Elder is batting .309 with 8 home runs. He has scored 40 runs and driven in 36. |
