Toledo and Boston have agreed in principle to a trade. The Titans will send nothing to the Patriots for 34-year-old starting pitcher Edwin Ellis. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete.

The PL salary arbitration hearings will be held today. For a few fleeting hours, general managers, players and their mouthpieces will conduct a risky game of verbal tug-of-war. Players, used to settling their scores on the field, could make millions or find their paychecks slashed summarily. When the decisions are announced tomorrow, general managers will have a much better grasp of their budget in the upcoming free agent market. One thing is for certain -- when the results go public tomorrow, someone in United States Premier League won't be happy.

Tony Dyer Chosen PL's Best Hitter

It's been a year of triumph for veteran Tony Dyer of the Grafton Middies as he hit his way to the 2018 Premier League Gold Bat.
The 31-year-old veteran compiled a .400 average and .448 on-base percentage by putting together 178 hits, 32 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs and 38 walks. He also scored 72 times and drove in 69 runs.Min-heui Im of the Phoenix Hotspur finished second in voting, while Thom Wilcox of the Brooklyn Dodgers finished third.
