League 2 AAA Names #1 Pitcher in August Friday, September 1st, 2017 Marlon Wheeler took home the League 2 AAA Pitcher of the Month honors in August. After all these years playing ball, the 38-year-old veteran still enjoys the game as though he'd just broken camp for the first time a month ago. He's a bit older now with a few more aches and pains, but the old man has reason to celebrate, having gone 4-0 for Bangor Trident Base last month and claiming the Pitcher of the Month award. He tacked up a 2.20 ERA in his 5 starts, tossing 32.2 innings and striking out 37. To date this year in 7 starts, Wheeler has crafted a 6-0 mark with a 2.17 ERA. |
