Bombers End Acosta's Streak Tuesday, August 29th, 2017 Lady Luck was not on the side of Arturo Acosta or his teammates today at Doubledays Stadium. Everything went the Bay City Bombers way. They not only came away with a 4-2 victory, but also held Acosta hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to the right fielder's 23-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Acosta said afterward. "But it'd be much easier to take right now if we had won." In 85 games Acosta is hitting .372 this season with 121 hits, 21 home runs, 78 RBIs, 39 walks, .441 OBP and has scored 66 runs. |
