Ramírez 5-5 for Naperville
Friday, August 18th, 2017
It was a sensational day at the plate for Cristo Ramírez as he led the charge to a 8-6 win over the Supernovas. The Naperville left fielder was pure misery for the Scranton pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Supernovas told BNN reporters after the game, "Ramírez put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Cristo Ramírez hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bob Meyer in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Ramírez is batting .349 with 127 hits and 24 home runs. He has scored 72 times and has batted in 75 runs.
