Bannatyne Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Sunday, June 4th, 2017
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game. Wayne Bannatyne of the Battlekings is proof of that. The Naperville left fielder gave it his all and dominated Jersey City pitching today at Jersey City Grounds with a great 5-for-5 game. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Sun Caps went home the winner, 11-6. Wayne Bannatyne singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Looking at his stats this year, Bannatyne has compiled a .345 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 13 runs. He has played in 25 games and scored 24 runs.
