Braves Stop Murdoch at 24 Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 The Sun Caps lost to Gryfindor today by the score of 6-5 at Jersey City Grounds, but the bigger story was the end of a hit streak. Jersey City third baseman Micheal Murdoch was working on a 24-game hitting streak, but went 0-for-4 against the Braves as the hot stretch came to an end. This year Murdoch has collected a .358 batting average to date with 140 hits in 391 at-bats, 82 RBIs, 24 home runs and scored 64 times. He has played in 94 games. |
