Chicago's Powell Shines, Shuts out SC Wednesday, September 6th, 2017 Tim Powell of the Chicago Hawks shut down the SC Storm 11-0 on a 5-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 11 strikeouts and allowing no walks. After the game Powell said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count." On his stats sheet this season Powell shows a 11-5 record, 20 starts, 147.1 innings, 111 strikeouts and a 2.02 ERA. |
