Hits Galore: Cook Drills 5 Hits
Monday, August 14th, 2017
It was a hits blitz for Arnold Cook at Piranhas Ballpark. The Thunder Bay Lumberjacks center fielder tore into Panama City for 5 hits in 5 at-bats and wrote his name into the record book. But it wasn't enough to win the game. The Panama City Piranhas swept past the Lumberjacks 7-4 to ruin the day for him. The Thunder Bay manager bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game. The Piranhas got too many good looks today, and we paid for it." Arnold Cook singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year Cook has hit 2 home runs and posted a .221 batting average.
