Brincka Hitless, Streak Ends at 22 Saturday, July 15th, 2017 The Houston 1837 Colt .45s did something to Imre Brincka no team had done for the last 22 games -- they held him hitless and stopped his consecutive-game hitting streak. But they didn't stop the Piranhas. Panama City came away with a 4-1 victory at Piranhas Ballpark. Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 29-year-old third baseman told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted." So far this year, Brincka is batting .311 with 6 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
