Lawson Crowned SL Top Rookie Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 It was a very productive rookie season for Buckhead left fielder Neil Lawson. He made the club, made the starting lineup, then in the regular season put up numbers impressive enough that the Silver League presented him the league's Newcomer of the Year Award for 2017. It was a season to remember for the 23-year-old Bowties newcomer. In addition to hitting .337, Lawson played in 108 games and collected 34 home runs, 94 RBIs and 101 runs scored.Rubén López of the Buckhead Bowties finished second in voting, while José Rodríguez of the Montreal Rivermen finished third. |
