Henry Pitches Bowties to Shutout Victory Friday, September 1st, 2017 The Retrievers manager was philosophical after his team was shut out by the Buckhead Bowties 7-0. "It was just one of those games, shake it off and do better next time," he said. Chester Henry blanked them on 2 hits with no walks and 11 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs. They were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Henry said. "I set them up pretty good, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." This year Henry has gone 15-2 with an ERA of 2.77 and has 155 strikeouts in 123.2 innings. |
