Star of the Week Selected in SL Monday, August 21st, 2017 At the age of 28, Jesús Pérez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Northern Virginia center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .526 batting average. For his efforts Pérez collected the Silver League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week in 5 games. This year Pérez is hitting .250 with 8 home runs and 26 RBIs in 65 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .327 with 19 walks and 24 runs scored. |
