Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Brown finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Tar Heels to a 25-2 victory. "Brown was really good and we were really bad," groaned Fighting Illini manager Álex Vargas. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
