| Moose Jaw's Scott Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Saturday, June 16th, 2029 After a 5-hit effort to lead Moose Jaw's 17-1 victory over the Red Deer Wranglers, left fielder Jon Scott told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Northwest League-level is really something special."
The 25-year-old player earned his accolades today at Wrangler Field with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Wranglers.
"His swing is getting there," said Ghostbusters skipper Steve MacDonald, who spoke glowingly of Scott after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jon did that to perfection today."
Jon Scott hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
In his season totals Scott has 11 home runs and a .331 batting average.
