Baffin Island Deals Walters to Boston for Rocha Friday, December 29th, 2028 The Beavers and Rebels pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 26-year-old RHP Nathan Walters head to Boston in exchange for 33-year-old RHP Tony Rocha and 23-year-old minor league 3B Roger Rush. A source close to Baffin Island officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." In his lifetime, the 26-year-old Walters has won 8 and lost 7, piling up 98 strikeouts and 44 walks in 166.1 innings with a 3.68 ERA. Opponents have hit .257 against him. Rocha has a career ERA of 3.32 in 784 games. In 799.1 innings he has allowed opposing hitters a .212 batting average and chalked up a 42-67 won-lost mark with 1043 strikeouts. |
