Rebels, Panthers Agree to Deal Sunday, December 3rd, 2028 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Boston Rebels and Vista Panthers finalized a trade today. Boston will send 33-year-old LF Bill Wilson and 30-year-old RHP Carlos Ruíz to the Panthers, while the Rebels will receive 31-year-old RHP Dale Reese, 28-year-old RF Juan Cortés and 23-year-old minor league RHP Roberto Carrillo. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," the Rebels general manager said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. In 1154 career games Wilson has hit .335 with 1567 hits, 85 home runs, 581 RBIs and scored 799 runs. In his 744-game career Cortés is hitting .254 with 696 hits, 154 home runs, 411 runs scored and 438 RBIs. |
