Wildcard Round Goes the Distance, Kansas City Prevails Monday, October 9th, 2028 The joy and relief on the faces of the Kansas City Kings players was obvious as they celebrated their Wildcard Round win over the Vista Panthers. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Kansas City second baseman Chris Chandler, shortly after the 3-2 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're pretty happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Divisional Round. Chandler won series MVP honors on the strength of his .467 batting average during the series. He also had a .500 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Kansas City Kings will play against the Springfield Stars in the next round.
