Castro Named NL Batter of the Month Sunday, October 1st, 2028 Juan Castro is in the final year of his contract with Beech Mountain and today added a timely piece of hardware to his trophy case. Playing in 26 games in September the 34-year-old third baseman ripped National League pitchers for a .374 batting average, nabbing him the Batter of the Month award. He also rang up 8 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored. If Castro keeps up this pace, he'll cost someone a lot of money. In his season totals Castro has 32 home runs and a .329 batting average. |
