Hit #2000 for Knights Carrasco Thursday, September 21st, 2028 It was a day of mixed emotions for New York shortstop Pepe Carrasco, who collected his 2000th hit in the club's 11-3 loss to Baffin Island. Knights and Beavers fans alike cheered Carrasco as he reached base after his milestone hit. "I wish the score had been different," Carrasco said after the game, "but it was a great moment. The standing ovation was really special... even the fans wearing Beavers caps were cheering me." Carrasco was 2-for-4 on the day.
