Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Maui Tuesday, September 5th, 2028 The Maui Tropics were certainly not a team of destiny this year and now they have been eliminated from playoff contention. "We thought we had a better chance than this," said first baseman Dave Cook. "It's a big disappointment." The Tropics have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 21 years as a Baseball Stars Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2019. In the last 10 seasons, the Tropics have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
