Davidson Stars in Stars Win
|
The Springfield Stars easily defeated the Maui Tropics, 12-1, at Rainbow Stadium, with right fielder Derek Davidson a main contributor to the win. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for Springfield. The Stars boast a remarkable 52-11 record.
Elliott Newell played a key role in the win for the Stars. The first baseman punched a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning. For the game, Newell hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4.
