Rockets Get One-Run Win at Baffin Island
|
The Nassau Rockets eked out a 4-3 win versus the Baffin Island Beavers at Beaver Dam. Nobody did more than pitcher Tomás Molina, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Molina, now 7-3. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3. Nassau has now won 3 in a row.
Nassau third baseman Bob Martin gave his club a productive at-bat in the top of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded and the Rockets leading 2-1, Martin hit a sacrifice fly.
"I was a little disappointed," said Baffin Island manager Chris Black. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
