The Austin River Sharks got a good effort from starter Carlos Hernández in defeating the St Charles Sheens at Greendale Community Field. The final score was 3-2. Josh Graham notched his 3rd save in 5 chances. The River Sharks go to 18-43, putting them last in the Continental League Central Division.

There were several reasons the River Sharks beat the Sheens, but one factor was Harry Pitts. In the bottom of the seventh, the Austin center fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"I know we have our doubters," said St Charles manager Jonathan Campbell. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
