New York and San Francisco got after it at Bay View Park.
New York Knights starter Elton Johnston had all his pitches working at Bay View Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 New York win over the San Francisco Bandits. The 'W' lifts New York's record to 21-38.
Ron Shelton was one of the major contributors to the win for New York. The light-hitting designated hitter stroked a home run to left in the top of the third inning. For the day, he went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We take it day by day here," said Shelton, "and today was a good one for us."
