D-Bags Fall Short at Austin
Jersey Shore designated hitter Pat Zimmerman was sensational. He was 3-5 with 2 home runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Austin beat the D-Bags, 9-8. Zimmerman was named the player of the game despite the loss. Tatsuzo Harada got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. The River Sharks move to 17-41 with the win, while the D-Bags drop to 33-25.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Austin designated hitter Carlos Guzmán had a chance to be the hero. Facing Jersey Shore pitcher Hyo-chin Kim with a runner on 2nd, Guzmán hit a walk-off run-scoring double.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Guzmán told the Austin News.
