Rockets Take Nail-Biter Over Kings
|
The Nassau Rockets got a good effort from starter Jing-xiang Fa in defeating the Kansas City Kings at Nassau Grounds. The final score was 3-2. Nassau reliever Juan Franco picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ignacio Colón was saddled with the loss. Nassau is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Nassau catcher Rubén Matos, facing Ignacio Colón, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Rockets the 3-2 win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Matos said.
