Rockets Pull Back to .500 With Win Over River Sharks
|
Salvador Borbón left his imprint on the 6-4 Nassau win against the Austin River Sharks. Borbón, who is tied for 10th in the NL in home runs with 10, went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Tomás Molina earned the win to go to 6-2. He allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Nassau occupies third place in the National League Southern Division at 24-24.
Shiro Ueno had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Rockets. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Nassau trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Borbón said. "That's how it goes."
