In a close game at Bay View Park, the San Francisco Bandits edged the Irvine Gang Green, 4-3. San Francisco designated hitter Ramón Ruíz earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Mal Park got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Mitsunari Taguchi locked down his 11th save.
San Francisco right fielder Mario García contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, García was 2-4 with 2 singles.
