The Niagara Falls Frenzy stopped the Maui Tropics, 8-7, at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. The Frenzy got a big game from Troy Lau, who was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Esteban Juárez. The Frenzy, with just their 2nd win in 7 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Lau had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Ronald Cotton, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Frenzy a 7-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Lau.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Lau said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
