Pocatello beat Chicago at Old Comiskey Park, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Francisco Sandoval, who earned player of the game honors. He was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. Pocatello starter Kevin Bush was credited with the win after throwing 117 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-3. Jaime Espinoza recorded his 15th save for Pocatello.

Marlon Phipps didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 3-run home run to put Pocatello on top, 3-0.

"I was a little disappointed," said Chicago manager Chip Justice. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

Chicago, at 18-26, has lost 4 straight.
